Beirut Extraction
About me

I Turn My Experience
into a Story.

I turn my experiences into a story, drawing on the seas I’ve sailed, the worlds I have worked in and the people I’ve met to create fiction rooted in authenticity.

My Vision

My vision is to give readers stories they can feel – immersive, character driven thrillers where truth and fiction meet.

My Mission

My mission is to explore loyalty, betrayal and the limits of trust through stories shaped by the complexities of the modern world.

My Goal

My goal is to turn a lifetime of varied experience into compelling fiction that feels real, grounded and unforgettable.

MY WORK

My Debut Novel

Beirut Extraction is the story that began my journey as a writer. It is a fast and tightly paced espionage thriller shaped by real experience. The novel explores loyalty, tension, misdirection and the quiet moments where a single decision can change everything. This debut brings together years of travel, professional work and exposure to complex environments to build a narrative that feels lived in and real.

Inside the World of My Writing

Every story I write begins with a moment. Sometimes it is a place. Sometimes it is a person or a situation that stays with me long after I have moved on. My writing reflects the tension found in those moments. The pressure. The choices. The conflicts that sit beneath the surface and reveal who we really are.

Price of Passage

A World Built From Real Experience

Stories shaped by the places I have worked in and the people I have met.

My writing begins with reality. The tension, the decisions, the pressure of moments that stay with you. I draw on years spent in demanding environments where trust is fragile and every choice carries weight. These experiences shape the worlds I create and the characters who move through them.

Stories shaped by experience. Characters shaped by truth.

What Nick Irving is Saying

“I wanted to create a story that feels real, with tension that grows from the choices people make under pressure. Early readers have responded to that sense of authenticity and the way the book weaves experience into fiction.”

How Real World Politics Inspired Beirut Extraction

How Real World Politics Inspired Beirut Extraction

How Real World Politics Inspired Beirut Extraction When I began writing Beirut Extraction, I didn’t set out to mirror the nightly news. But it’s impossible to write a spy novel set in today’s Middle East without absorbing the real world—the shifting borders, the uneasy alliances, the quiet deals made in back rooms by men who […]

Why I Set My Novel in Beirut

Why I Set My Novel in Beirut

Why I Set My Novel in Beirut When people hear I’ve set my debut spy thriller, Beirut Extraction, in Lebanon’s capital, the reactions tend to fall into two camps. Some lean in with interest—“Of course, Beirut, perfect!” Others frown, puzzled, as though I’ve chosen a stage too obscure or dangerous for fiction. The truth is […]
